5 bedrooms private villa, Seminyak
Villa Atas Ombak is one of very few private villas in Bali which
have absolute beach frontage! Located only a ’stones throw’ from
the built-up & better know areas of Kuta & Legian. Villa Atas
Ombak boasts magnificent ocean views from all living and
sleeping areas.

The villa, which sits atop 5,000 m2 of cultivated gardens,
consists of three separate buildings, the main building, the
guest cottage & the pavilion (which is open-plan living area
that overlooks the pool and ocean). The villa was designed to
maximize use of the outdoors, as well as providing guests with
quality living, dining & sleeping areas. All living and dining
areas are fan cooled. The villa can only be accessed by private
road.
Main Building
Upon entering this building through the large antique wooden
doors, the size of the property & the immaculate attention to
detail are immediately apparent. All rooms are spacious, and
anyone who recognizes quality will surely appreciate the small
selection of antiques found throughout this impressive home.
The main building features a
formal dining area, which will comfortably seat up to 16
(sixteen) people, a study & three fully air-conditioned bedrooms
(with en-suite bathrooms). All bedrooms boast sea views !
Additionally, the master suite, one of two bedroom on the ground
floor, features television and a private outdoor plunge pool.
The master en-suite bathroom features a separate bath (as well
as shower), bidet & twin wash basins. All other bathrooms are
fitted with showers, wash basins & toilets. The villa is kept
cool at most times by the sea breezes, and guests have seldom
had to resort to making use of the air-conditioning in the
bedrooms.
Kitchen
The kitchen is without doubt the best equipped kitchen of any
private home or villa in Bali! Essentially, like a commercial
kitchen, it boasts stainless steel preparation, cooking areas &
sinks. There is also a commercial fridge/freezer (so there can
be no shortage of space for the storage of food & beverages). As
the owners of this magnificent villa love the entertain, they
have equipped the kitchen with sufficient quality tableware to
accommodate dinner parties for up to 20 (twenty) guests.
Guest Cottage
The cottage which is situated as close to the ocean as anyone
could wish for, provided guests with larger families/parties the
opportunity to accommodate them. There are two additional
bedrooms; one fitted with a double bed & the other with two
single beds. Additionally, there are two bathrooms, and a
comfortable living area furnished with ‘rattan’ cane wicker
chair & sofa.
Pavilion & Pool
Area
The pavilion is a 100 M2 open-plan living area which has two
distinctive sitting areas. The ‘chunky bamboo’ furnishings are
both practical & comfortable, & afford guests unparalleled views
of both the pool (which measures 14 M x 7 M) & the ocean beyond.
Poolside furnishings consist of 8 deck chairs with side tables &
umbrellas. There is also another small (covered) pavilion, known
as the bale, which serves as an ideal retreat for a couple or as
a ‘massage’ or ‘day room’.
Domestic Staff
There is a total of 20 permanent household staff, comprised of:
4 day maids, 5 cooks + assistants, 3 gardeners, 5 security
guards, 2 House maintenance man, The manager
Food and Beverage
Guests may have any or all meals prepared by the staff. It is up
to guests to decide the schedule (or perhaps no schedule). There
are no additional charges for meals, however costs for all food
stuffs and beverages are not included in the daily rental
tariff. Costs for all food and beverages shall be borne by the
guest/s. A shopping account is managed by the kitchen staff.
Hereto, all groceries are purchased either at the city markets
or the local supermarket. We strongly advise one member of a
rental party to liaise with the cooks, whereupon dinner menus &
meal times can be established. Also, given that the purchase of
groceries & fresh meats/sea-foods is done very early in the
mornings, guests are advised to provide the cooks with a
shopping list one day in advance. Kitchen accounts must be
settled with the cooks daily.
